On a wet and windy Monday this week, staff from the Loch Associates Group helped to sort out the gardens of our Charity of the Year. The volunteers enjoyed getting stuck in, and got more than a little soaked with the rain, at the Chestnut Tree House. The Chestnut Tree House is a hospice that provides respite care for terminally ill children and children with life limiting illnesses as well as supporting their families. The staff who volunteered felt very humbled and privileged to lend a helping hand.
Will Addis, Partner at Loch Employment Law, said “I greatly appreciated the opportunity to volunteer at the Chestnut Tree House for the day. I learnt more about the valuable work they do for children with life limiting illnesses and it was great to be able to help in just a small way by saving the Chestnut Tree House additional costs to maintain their beautiful grounds. I felt very humbled learning about the fantastic care the Hospice provides and was made to feel so welcome by the Hospice team for volunteering. It costs £3.5 million to run the Hospice and provide expert care every year, and Loch Associates Group is proud to have helped to raise funds and contribute to its upkeep.”
